Chevrolet
Performance Remains Official Crate Engine of USMTS
GRAND BLANC, Mich. (Jan. 6)
— Officials from the
United States Modified Touring Series and Chevrolet
Performance are continuing their partnership through the
2022 racing season.
The Official Crate Engine of
the USMTS since 2017, Chevrolet Performance will once
again award a new high-performance CT525 crate engine to
a Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s
competitor at the season-ending awards banquet.
The deep-breathing, high-revving
CT525 6.2L crate engine (Part No. 19418211) is
upgraded with forged aluminum pistons designed to
support its performance and enhance its durability. It
is based on the LS engine family and delivers serious
power for serious racing series.
The CT525 is
based on the 6.2L LS3 and adapted to circle track racing
with a carbureted intake manifold, a high-lift roller
camshaft, six-quart racing oil pan and more.
Chevrolet Performance fuels the passions of enthusiasts
with factory-engineered and fully assembled crate
engines, engine parts and vehicle accessories.
Driven by the spirit of American ingenuity, Chevrolet is
dedicated to challenging the limits of what's possible
in automotive design and engineering today, tomorrow and
for years to come.
Founded in 1911 in Detroit,
Chevrolet is one of the world's largest automotive
brands, doing business in more than 140 countries and
selling more than 4.5 million cars and trucks a year.
Chevrolet offers a comprehensive line of vehicles that
feature spirited performance, expressive design,
thoughtful technology, high quality and value.

2022 season blasts off March
3-5: The Summit USMTS Modifieds will invade the
Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas, on Thursday, Friday
and Saturday, March 3-5, for the 12th Annual USMTS Texas
Spring Nationals.
The track opened in 2015 and
hosted the USMTS on June 25 for the first and only visit
here by the series.
Philip Houston was the winner
that night. Formerly known as 82 Speedway, the fast
quarter-mile dirt oval will also welcome USRA Stock
Cars, USRA Limited Mods and USRA Factory Stocks all
three nights.
The Rocket Raceway Park is a wide,
sweeping 1/4-mile high-banked dirt oval and the facility
holds 3,400 spectators in its elevated grandstands which
offer superb viewing from any seat.
The venue can
be found in Lamar County—about 15 minutes west of Paris
and 25 minutes east of Bonham. The track’s physical
location is 16369 US Hwy 82, Petty, TX 75470.
