JE Pistons
Back On Board To Support USMTS Racers
CYPRESS, Calif.
(Jan. 27) —
Officials from the United States
Modified Touring Series are honored to welcome back JE
Pistons to the family of businesses who support the
racers in the Summit USMTS National Championship
presented by RacinDirt.
As part of their
commitment to USMTS competitors, JE Pistons will share
the Engine Builder of the Year Award sponsorship and
dole out year-end awards to the top five in the Engine
Builder of the Year standings.
In addition, JE Pistons will supply a
$500 product certificate to both the Summit USMTS
National Champion and Grant Junghans USMTS Rookie of the
Year.
“We’re thrilled to be going racing with the
USMTS again in 2022,” said Jim Irwin, General Manager
for JE Pistons. “JE was born from grassroots racing and
the great work done by USMTS and their racers each and
every round is a perfect fit with our rich history in
all levels of circle track racing.
“Thanks to
racer feedback, we’ve been working to expand our
off-the-shelf offerings of circle track purpose-designed
pistons, too. So we’re excited to see what this season
has in store.”
JE Pistons is also adding cold,
hard cash to the points fund for all eligible USMTS
racers.

2022 season blasts off March
4-5: The Summit USMTS Modifieds will invade the
Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas, on Friday and
Saturday, March 4-5, for the 12th Annual USMTS Texas
Spring Nationals.
Formerly known as 82 Speedway
and East Texas Speedway, the track opened in 2015 and
hosted the USMTS on June 25 for the first and only visit
here by the series. Philip Houston was the winner that
night.
The fast and wide quarter-mile high-banked
dirt oval will also welcome Medieval USRA Stock Cars,
USRA Limited Mods and USRA Factory Stocks both nights.
An open practice for all divisions is slated for
Thursday night, March 3.
The Rocket Raceway Park
holds 3,400 spectators and its elevated grandstands
offer superb viewing from any seat. The venue can be
found in Lamar County—about 15 minutes west of Paris and
25 minutes east of Bonham.
The track’s physical
location is 16369 US Hwy 82, Petty, TX 75470. Learn more
