Mullins Race
Engines Earns Sixth Callies/JE Pistons USMTS Engine
Builder of the Year Award
When
the Summit USMTS National Championship presented by
RacinDirt ended Oct. 14 at the Arrowhead Speedway,
Mullins Race Engines officially reigned as the
Callies/JE Pistons USMTS Engine Builder of the Year
Award winner for the 2023 season.
This is a
record-extending sixth USMTS powerplant producer prize
for the company based out of Mt. Olive, Ill. The title
was secured with just seven feature wins—the lowest
number since the award was established in 2008.
Four different drivers scored one or more victories
using a Mullins Race Engine while ten different engine
builders picked up at least one win during the 2023
campaign.
Mullins Race Engines leads all former
winners with six titles. Sput's Racing Engines has won
it three times while two-time defending winner Cornett
Racing Engines and Hatfield Racing Engines each have
two. The award has been bestowed once to Durham Racing
Engines, Geddes Racing Engines and Pro Power Racing.
