Eagle
River Speedway To Sanction USRA Late Models in 2025
Eagle River Speedway
officials have announced that they will sanction
their late model division with the USRA in 2025 as
part of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
The popular division has seen steady growth at
the third-mile, clay oval in northern Wisconsin
during the past five seasons. The rules package for
the weekly Eagle River late models and USRA have
matched up very closely in recent years.
With the sanctioning there comes a certain comfort
level that the drivers have, said track promoter
Pat Zdroik. Our hope is to have a few of these
drivers decide to pop in and give our track a try on
a Tuesday night and possibly garner some points in
the process.
USRA-sanctioned late model
drivers have a chance to race for a chunk of both a
national and track point fund. The national champion
will earn a $1,000 check paying out the top five
positions: 1) $1,000, 2) $700, 3) $500, 4) $200, 5)
$200.
National points include each
competitors best twenty (20) points nights from Feb.
21 to Oct. 5. The track point fund champion will
earn a $600 paycheck with the top ten point getters
earning cash. 1) $600, 2) $400, 3) $300, 4) $250, 5)
$200, 6) $175, 7) $150, 8) $125, 9) $125, 10) $125.
Track points include all events held at a
USRA-sanctioned track submitted by the track. Amount
is based on a minimum of 16 events with an overall
car count of 300. Amounts are pro-rated by
percentage of actual overall car count, and then by
percentage of events if less than 16 are held.
The national rookie of the year will earn a $300
paycheck. Eligible competitors may have participated
in ten (10) or less events in their division prior
to the current year.
