
Eight Racers Earn Swift Springs USRA
Rookie of the Year Honors
Rookie
racers in eight Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series
divisions earned Swift Springs USRA Rookie of the
Year Awards in their divisions for the 2024 season.
Each Swift Springs USRA Rookie of the Year will
receive a one-of-a-kind plaque and cash awards.
The top rookies in the USRA Modifieds, USRA
Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods will each get $500. USRA
Limited Mods and Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks earn
$350. USRA Hobby Stock and USRA Late Model
competitors get $300, and the top rookie in the USRA
Tuners will pocket $200.

Jacob Campbell was the 2024 Swift Springs USRA
Rookie of the Year in the USRA Modifieds.
USRA Modifieds:
Jacob Campbell emerged as the 2024 Swift Springs
USRA Rookie of the Year in the USRA Modifieds. The
29-year-old from Hackett, Ark., also finished fifth
in the MSD Performance USRA Southern Region driven
by MVT and ninth in USRA Modified national points.
Campbell scored points at the Arrowhead
Speedway, Crawford County Speedway, Outlaw Motor
Speedway, Tri-State Speedway and Tulsa Speedway
during the season while winning seven times with 23
top-fives and 26 top-ten finishes in his 27 starts.
Henry Chambers of Baldwin City, Kan., came home
second in USRA Modified rookie points, while Troy
Martin Jr. of Wagoner, Okla.; Zach Brom of Winona,
Minn.; and Weston Holman of Springdale, Ark.,
rounded out the top five.

Dylan Clinton was the 2024 Swift Springs USRA Rookie
of the Year in the USRA Stock Cars.
USRA Stock Cars:
On the heels of capturing back-to-back USRA Hobby
Stock national championships in 2022 and 2023, Dylan
Clinton made the move to USRA Stock Cars in 2024 and
garnered the Swift Springs USRA Rookie of the Year
Award.
A liitle more than a month after his
31st birthday, the former Summit USRA Nationals
winner from West Union, Iowa, clinched the title
after a close battle with eventual runner-up Corey
Myers of Atchison, Kan.
Along the way,
Clinton faced some of the nation's fiercest USRA
Stock Car competition while racing at the Cresco
Speedway, Fayette County Speedway in his hometown,
Mason City Motor Speedway, Mississippi Thunder
Speedway and Winneshiek Raceway.
Clinton also
wound up 22nd in the division's national points
while netting five wins, 16 top-fives and 22
top-tens in 27 starts. He also finished ninth in the
Christie Door Company USRA Northern Region driven by
MVT.
Cody Torkelson of Elgin, Iowa; Keven
MacRunnels of Albuquerque, N.M.; and Liberty,
Missouri's Justin Custer were third, fourth and
fifth in the final rookie rankings.

Patrick Lewis was the 2024 Swift Springs USRA Rookie
of the Year in the USRA B-Mods.
USRA B-Mods:
Although
victory lane eluded Patrick Lewis during the 2024
season, he visited nine different dirt ovals while
registering 15 top-five and 38 top-ten finishes in
53 starts—the third most of any driver in any USRA
division in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
Along the road to his Swift Springs USRA Rookie
of the Year Award in the USRA B-Mods, the
46-year-old racer from Wellsville, Mo., made stops
at the Arrowhead Speedway, Caney Valley Speedway,
Crawford County Speedway, Humboldt Speedway, I-35
Speedway, Lakeside Speedway, Lucas Oil Speedway,
Monett Motor Speedway and Tulsa Speedway.
Adam Dunwoodie of Polo, Mo., claimed the runner-up
finish in the final rookie standings, followed by
K.C. Mullin of Manhattan, Kan.; Mark Anderson of
Chillicothe, Mo.; and Cole Bennerotte of Byron,
Minn.

Taylor Donlan was the 2024 Swift Springs USRA Rookie
of the Year in the USRA Hobby Stocks.
USRA Hobby Stocks:
At just 17 years old, second-generation racer Taylor
Donlan ran away with the 2024 Swift Springs USRA
Rookie of the Year Award in the USRA Hobby Stocks,
besting Postville, Iowa's Josh Harms by nearly 500
points.
Donlan—the son of long-time USRA
Stock Car driver Kevin Donlan—made maiden voyages to
the Cresco Speedway, Deer Creek Speedway, Fayette
County Speedway, Hamilton County Speedway, Lucas Oil
Speedway, Mason City Motor Speedway, Mississippi
Thunder Speedway and the Winneshiek Raceway in his
hometown of Decorah, Iowa.
The youngster also
wound up 14th in the USRA Hobby Stock national
points. He registed 3 wins, 8 top-fives and 19
top-ten results while making 38 starts.
Completing the top five in the division's rookie
points chase were Nathan Albrecht and Winona, Minn.;
Josef Zahn of Brandon of S.D.; and Travis Dann of
Hartford, S.D.

Matthew Larson was the 2024 Swift Springs USRA
Rookie of the Year in the USRA Late Models.
USRA Late
Models:
Another second-generation racer, Matthew Larson of
Lake Elmo, Minn., dominated the battle for the Swift
Springs USRA Rookie of the Year Award in the USRA
Late Models while nearly dethroning defending
national champ Cade Nelson.
Despite falling a
few points short in his national title bid, Larson
registered an impressive 10 wins in 34 starts, along
with 31 top-five and 32 top-ten finishes.
The
19-year-old son of dirt Late Model veteran Brent
Larson, visits were made to the Cedar Lake Speedway,
Eagle Valley Speedway, Gondik Law Speedway,
Mississippi Thunder Speedway, Proctor Speedway and
Rice Lake Speedway.
Four Wisconsin wheelmen
finished second through fifth behind Matthew Larson
in the rokkie poins: Ryan Howe of Menomonie, Derek
Berg of Amery, Josh Bach of Barron and Brian Dachel
of Bloomer.

Matthew Riskey was the 2024 Swift Springs USRA
Rookie of the Year in the USRA Limited Mods.
USRA Limited Mods: Three Texans
wound up on the podium in the final USRA Limited Mod
standings, and it was Matthew Riskey standing on the
highest platform when all was said and done.
The 28-year-old from Commerce, Texas, raced at just
three Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series tracks:
Ark-La-Tex Speedway, Hunt County Raceway and Rocket
Raceway Park en route to winning the Swift Springs
USRA Rookie of the Year Award in the USRA Limited
Mods.
Riskey recorded 6 wins while also
registering 16 top-fives and 20 top-tens in his 25
starts—good enough for a fourth place finish in the
divisions national points too.
Tyler Cook of
Lubbock and Karnack's Landon Rogers wound up second
and third in the rookie points while Louisiana
racers Shannon Swilley of Elysian Fields and Daniel
Jones of Provencal finished fourth and fifth in the
final rankings.

Dario Lopez Jr. was the 2024 Swift Springs USRA
Rookie of the Year in the Sunoco USRA Factory
Stocks.
Sunoco USRA Factory
Stocks: He
may be 60 years old, but Dario Lopez Jr. of Rowlett,
Texas, emerged as the Swift Springs USRA Rookie of
the Year Award winner in the Sunoco USRA Factory
Stocks.
Lopez made 27 starts between the Hunt
County Raceway and Rocket Raceway Park in 2024,
tallying a top-five finish and 6 top-tens. He
finished 19th in Sunoco USRA Factory Stock national
points too.
More than 1,000 behind Lopez, the
runner-up in rookie points was Kendal Byram of
Simms, Texas, followed by James Morris of
Springdale, Ark. Daylon Briscoe of Paris, Texas, and
Shelton Copeland of Vivian, La., completed the top
five.

Braxton Brownlee was the 2024 Swift Springs USRA
Rookie of the Year in the USRA Tuners.
USRA
Tuners:
Braxton Brownlee of Weleetka, Okla., battled his way
to a dominant and well-deseved Swift Springs USRA
Rookie of the Year Award in the USRA Tuners.
Brownlee, who turned 20 in May, recorded 5 wins, 18
top-five and 24 top-ten finishes in 31 starts at the
Arrowhead Speedway, Caney Valley Speedway, Creek
County Speedway, Lucas Oil Speedway and Tulsa
Speedway.
He also finished fifth in the USRA
Tuner national points. His younger brother, Connar
Brownlee, was the runner-up nationally.
Kade
Raulston of Fargo, Okla.; Joshua Deason of Colcord,
Okla.; Mekayla Wynne of Canyon, Texas; and Nolan
Lerch of West Union, Iowa, rounded out the top five
in rookie points.

eligible drivers who competed during the Summit USRA
Weekly Racing Series in 2024.
